Hoovy, in cooperation with the CPSC is Voluntarily recalling the Cooling Gel Insert Pad.
Stop using the product immediately and register for your refund.

Effective date: August 2025


Products affected: Hoovy Cooling Gel Inserts Pads for Car Seats and Strollers, SKU HV-1275, UPC 850001215008,  sold between April 2025 thru July 2025 at Target Stores, Target.com and Walmart.com.

Issue: The pad can get hot if left in the sun or a hot car, resulting in a burn hazard.

Immediate action: Stop using the product immediately.

What we’re offering: Refund.

How to participate: Send us an email with "Recall" in the subject to info@hoovyproducts.com with the following information - Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, email and upload a photo of the recalled pad cut in half along the seam as shown below. The photo must also include a piece of paper with your initials and date.

1.      Why is Hoovy Conducting this Recall?

The safety of our products is our top priority. We learned that the Cooling Gel Insert Pads can get hot if left in the sun or in a hot car, posing the risk of burns to babies. This is why we initiated this recall in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

 

2.      What products are affected by this recall?

This recall affects all Cooling Gel Insert Pads sold by Hoovy. The Cooling Gel Insert Pads are black padded gel inserts for strollers or car seats that contain in inner cooling layer that is activated by a child’s weight. The Hoovy logo appears in white on the bottom right corner of the product. The recalled cooling pads are approximately 16.5 inches long by 14.25 inches wide. No other Hoovy products are affected.

3.      What is the remedy for the recall?

We are providing a refund in the amount of $25, which is the retail price of the product. If you paid more for your product, you can email us proof of purchase showing the amount you paid, and we will refund the entire amount.

4.      How do I register for the recall?

Send us an email with "Recall" in the subject to info@hoovyproducts.com with the following information - Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, email and upload a photo of the recalled pad cut in half along the seam as shown above. The photo must also include a piece of paper with your initials and date.  

5.      I am having trouble registering online, do I have other options?

6.      What form of refund will I receive?

We will mail out a check to you.

7.      My product seems fine, can I keep using it?

No. If this product overheats it can pose a burn hazard. Please stop using the product and register for the recall.

8.      I don’t have the product anymore, can I still get a refund?

No. The refund is only available for consumers who have the recalled product and register for the recall.

9.      Can I return the product to the store where I bought it?

No. Please register for the recall with Hoovy, so we can ensure that the recall is implemented in accordance with the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s expectations.
